My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing great! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church; we go on Fridays and Sundays. We trust our salvation in Jesus. I am so thankful to God because my family and I are healthy. My mother is Isabel Gomez Gutierrez, and she is 36 years old. She does the chores at home, raises hens, turkeys, and ducks to sell and contribute to the income. Moreover, she sews typical blouses and goes to sell in the plaza on Thursdays and Sundays. My father is Isaias Morente Mendez, and he is 41 years old. He is employed as both a farmer and a day laborer; in this way, he supplies our family’s needs. At home, we grow corn and black beans for the family's consumption and onions and tomatoes to sell in the market.

I am Brayan Ronaldo Morente Gomez, and I am a 15-year-old boy. I was in 9th grade this year; I received classes at school and my learning went well. I am fortunate that my parents have the resources to supply what I needed for school. My dream is to continue with my studies and become a nurse someday. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. I like sodas, especially Coca-Cola which is my favorite one. The sport I like the most is football. Christmas is one of my favorite seasons of the year; I meet up with my family, and we remember Jesus' birth and it is a joyful time. I get so happy when my birthday comes, and my family prepares a special dinner and a cake; I love it. I am so blessed to be part of the feeding program from Living Water, and I appreciate so much the support I receive; the meals and medicines for free means a great blessing for me and my family. We are in need of groceries, corn and clothes. I hope to hear news from you soon. May God bless you greatly!

Kind regards,

Brayan Ronaldo Morente Gomez
