My Story

I hope you are having a wonderful day with your loved ones! Praise the Lord my family and I attend United Pentecostal Church, and we go on Sundays. This time the LW staff gave us the encouraging words to continue trusting in God; we appreciate it so much. My father is Domingo Miranda Aguilar, and he is 45 years old. He strives to support our family; he works as a farmer and day laborer. My mother is Romelia Chingo Toj, and she is 26 years old. She does the chores, weaves typical items and watches over my siblings and me. Moreover, she raises hens and pigs. At home, we grow corn and black beans just for our consumption. By the grace of God, my family and I are healthy.

I am Brandon Domingo, and I am a 6-year-old boy. I attend kindergarten; I am learning a lot since my teacher helps me if I do not understand some lessons. Thankfully, my father can support me at school with his job. When I grow up, I would like to be a doctor and help people with their health issues. My native language is Kiche´ Mayan dialect, and I would like to learn to speak Spanish because I would like to communicate better with other people. The sport I like the most is basketball; it is an exciting game.  I love drinking natural juices. I wait impatiently for my birthday because my family gives me some gifts; they make me feel so special. I like Christmas time because people light colorful firecrackers; the show around is cool. We are so grateful to you and Living Water for the tasty meals and medical attention in the clinics, and it is a big blessing for us. We are in need of groceries, corn and clothes. I send much love hoping to receive news from you soon. May God bless you in everything you do!

Bunch of hugs,

Brandon Domingo Miranda Chingo
