My Story

This is Dairy Dayana Castillo Jerez, and I feel happy to write this letter just for you. I want to start by telling you about our spiritual life. My family and I continue attending the Catholic Church, and we take part in the Sunday’s mass. LW Evangelism team has shared the gospel with us, and we are grateful for their words. Thankfully, my mother is in good health and she is the one who supports us financially; she tends her own tortillas business. Her name is Sonia, and she is 34 years old. My father’s name is Esvin, but he is not part of my life; I do not have information about him. My family’s income is low, so we are frequently in need of groceries. We do not have pets nor crops at home.

I am a healthy girl who likes running. I am 5 years old now, and I love eating cake and candies for my birthday. I am in kindergarten this year, and I am happy to share time with my classmates. It has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses because the money that she earns is not enough. My favorite beverage is fruit juice. I enjoy summer time because I like eating snow cones and ice creams. I would like to learn English language. I am blessed with medicine and food through the feeding program, and I am grateful for that; my grandmother brought us to the program since my siblings and I were little children.
