My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you, wishing you a brilliant and blessed day. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I want to let you know that we continue attending the Catholic Church every Sunday and Thursday. My family is grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the Gospel with us and for their encouraging words during the visit. My mother`s name is Maria Felipa Gomez Lopez. She is 42 years old. Nowadays, she works as a waitress at special events. My father`s name is Gaudencio Rolando Lara Yapan. He is 46 years old. Currently, he continues working by selling plants in Guatemala City in order to help us with home expenses. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

I am Mario Rolando Lara Gomez, and I am 13 years old. Unfortunately, this year I am repeating 5th grade at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes every day, and I learn a lot. Also, I enjoy spending time with my classmates. Thank God, my parents are making an effort to support my brothers and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have stable jobs. In the future, I want to become a professional chef. I speak Spanish where I live, but I would like to learn the Chinese language. Summer season is my favorite because I go out to play. Strawberry juice is what I prefer to drink. My pet is a chicken. I like to eat a delicious cake and beef stew for my birthday. I like to ride a bike in my spare time. My family and I are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed in our lives for instance with the meals, medical & dental care, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year. Thank you for reading my letter. May God take care of you everywhere you are!

Lots of love,

Mario Rolando Lara Gomez
