My Story

My name is Marta Lidia, and it is a joy for me to say hello to you through this letter. I hope you are doing well together with your loved ones. Let me tell you that my family and I still attend Prince of Peace Church. We usually have services on Thursdays and Saturdays. We trust that Jesus is our Savior. My father, Jeronimo Pastor, is 45 years old. He makes a living as a farmer and day laborer. Besides working for others, he grows corn for our consumption because it is part of our diet. My mother, Luisa Simaj, is 40 years old. She dedicates her time to our family. Besides that, she raises turkeys and hens to sell to help my father with her income. Thankfully, we are all in good health. 

Now, I want to tell you a little bit more about me. I was in first grade this year again. I enjoyed attending school because I could learn a lot. My father strived to support my school supplies, but it was hard. We need groceries at home, especially corn. My favorite holiday is Christmas because we gather to celebrate this lovely time by having tamales. I like drinking juices and hot beverages, but my favorites are Incaparina and Mosh (they are typical hot drinks). I am 11 years old. What I love the most is having a special lunch to celebrate my birthday with my loved ones. There are many sports, but my favorite is soccer. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW to update you about my life. Besides that, let me tell you that LW is a tremendous blessing for many children like me. We have tasty lunches and make new friends at the feeding program. See you later!
